Lego Robotics
Students enrolled in the Lego Robotics Club develop team-building skills through hands-on exploration and discovery using the Lego Minstorms system. Utilizing a blend of software, hardware, computers, and construction, students use the computer to program robots that they create and build. They also combine creativity and logic into their problem solving, using a step by step flowchart approach to programming their robot. They master the steps to engineer and build their model Lego robots, program them using the Lego Mindstorms software, and evaluate their robot’s behavior through various inputs and outputs (motors, touch sensors, light sensors, motion sensors, and sound sensors).
This club is open to P.E.S. students in grades 3-6, and meets every Thursday from 3:15 - 4:15.
